Recycle, Reuse, Reduce

Use of reclaimed materials, green manufacturing processes and improving the quality of life,  Visa Lighting's commitment to the environment, our customers and staff is apparent throughout our facility, evidenced in our products and manifested throughout our community.  Visa Lighting recycles all metals and scrap acrylic. The metals are separated by material type, such as aluminum or copper.  We recycle not only our solids but also our shavings. Visa Lighting also recycles electronic components and supplies. Ballasts, batteries, lamps, cardboard, wood, paper, glass, plastic and aluminum cans are all part of our expansive recycling program.

We also utilize raw materials that contain reclaimed materials.  Far less energy is expended during the recycling process of copper, aluminum, and steel than forging virgin metals.  Visa Lighting is pleased to contribute as a consumer and supplier within the metals process chain.

Our building maintenance program includes air filtration, waste water system and Metasys Building Control. Located in the machining department the air filtration system consists of ducting that attaches to a smoke/fume extractor and is not exhausted outside. The cleaned conditioned air stays inside the building.  Visa Lighting has consistently been named to "Significant Industrial User Honor Roll" as named by Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewage District and Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. Visa Lighting utilizes the Metasys Building Control System in order to program HVAC as well as equipment setbacks to reduce energy consumption and maintain a comfortable work place.

The Visa Lighting campus creates a minimal footprint on our building site. Approximately 60% is green space and 20% of the site is Natural landscaping. Green space not only supplies the means to accumulate ground water naturally, but also provides a nice diversion for our employees.  Picnic tables, a basketball goal, and horse shoes are provided so staff may enjoy the grounds during lunch and break time.
