Response to 2007 Energy Bill

Visa Lighting applauds the directives set forth in the 2007 Energy Bill. The new national lighting standard will advance technology and Visa Lighting is poised to maintain a leadership role.  Committed to providing progressive lighting solutions, Visa Lighting is forwarding energy efficiency in lighting fixtures by introducing cutting-edge product improvements and inspired new products.

Visa Lighting is incorporating innovative LED applications in new products slated for first quarter release. These products are aesthetically pleasing solutions which provide a reduction in energy usage, longer lamp life, and less waste mercury effecting the environment.  Also, by offering dimming capabilities in most fixtures, Visa Lighting has embraced daylighting strategies, providing further reductions in energy use, improved indoor air quality and employee health. In April of 2007 Visa Lighting removed magnetic ballasts in favor of available replacement electronic ballasts. By incorporating electronic ballasts in place of the magnetic counterpart, customers experienced decreased energy costs and greenhouse gas emissions were curtailed.

November 2007 Visa Lighting became the first lighting manufacturer to develop BIM families for the complete product line. Visa Lighting Revit files contain the tools to make energy and photometric calculations available in 3D modeling and rendering. This feature includes energy management, review of HWS requirements early in design process, lighting calculations, LEED, and so on.

Visa Lighting is reaching past the mandated requirements of 2007 Energy Bill. As research furthers the advancement of green manufacturing, energy conservation, and sustainable construction, Visa Lighting will be in the forefront with responsive and innovative solutions.
