Preview the New Visa Color Palette

Visa Lighting is introducing a new color palette. Moving from painted finishes to durable, environmentally friendly powdercoat provided an excellent opportunity to upgrade our current color offerings. Visa Lighting surveyed designers, architects, and agents to comment on current color and finish tool requirements. Research resulted in a greater identification of widespread design trends; modernist to traditional, eclectic to mainstream. Adjusting the palette resulted in the addition of warmer, cleaner shades, and satin colors. Feedback resulted in several other requests, too. Visa Lighting’s color coding system should be updated as well offering a variety of lens choices.

After adding new colors, adjustments were made to the current solid paint color coding. Using 2 digit color code was not user friendly and can result in color matching errors. The new solid paint finish system will utilize a 6 digit “smart numbering” code which includes a reference to the appropriate RAL number. For example, JB9005 represents Jet Black (Visa) 9005 (RAL). This solution provides definitive color analysis at a glance, and eliminates RAL guesswork.

Metallic paint codes will be adjusted to 4 digits. These letters relate to the product name being used for color. For example, Silver Metallic was SAL. The updated color is Blade Silver and will be coded BSIL.

Also reviewed and updated are current lens options. Visa Lighting is proud to be aligned with Lumicor® to bring variety to acrylic offerings. Resin panels provide variety, extend design intent and add a customized statement to the lighting design vision.
