Visa Lighting Introduces XEM: Emergency Battery Backup to the Junction Box
Visa Lighting has eliminated the hassle and design headaches of emergency lighting with XEM, our exclusive battery backup system. With XEM, emergency power is located directly in the junction box. This means that designers can choose virtually any Visa Lighting fixture as part of their emergency lighting plan, eliminating unsightly external emergency fixtures and the design, access and maintenance complexities of remote batteries. The XEM box replaces the regular junction box; the backup battery then mounts into the XEM box, directly behind the fixture. A one-piece alarm light/test switch is integrated into the construction of every fixture that includes the XEM option.
XEM has been developed for both standard and 2×4 junction boxes, and meets NFPA section A.8.2.3.2.4.2 for fire safety. Now, you can meet all emergency safety codes without compromising your vision.
