New: Zume Indoor Globe Pendant Lights

Visa Lighting’s new indoor Zume globe pendants are a collection of gorgeous, glowing LED lights. Zume is now offered in three globe varieties: outdoor, indoor, and indoor with a downlight.

After great success with our Zume outdoor pendants, we are excited to introduce two new families of indoor globes as an expansion to our standard product offering: the Zume-In and Zume-DL.

The Zume collection of fixtures provides beautiful, ambient illumination, like bringing a piece of the sky inside with you. "The sun, moon, and stars represent humanity’s oldest relationship with light,” says Visa Lighting product designer Hans Nielson. “These celestial spheres and their soft glow were our inspiration for the Zume collection.”

The Zume-In is offered in four globe sizes ranging from 8 inches to 22 inches in diameter with even and consistent illumination in all sizes. The complementary Zume-DL family includes the ambient glow of the globe as well as an LED downlight and is available in three sizes from 12 inches to 22 inches in diameter. This unique downlight feature of the Zume DL family gives lighting designers the opportunity to harmoniously use globe lighting in applications where downlight is required while saving the extra expense of additional downlight fixtures and installation. The downlights can be ordered with Narrow, Medium, or Wide optics and high or low output. The ambient and downlight sources can be specified in 30K, 35K, and 40K color temperatures.

"Lighting designers were impressed with the beautiful glow our outdoor globes provided, and we’ve had many requests for an indoor version,” says Visa Lighting’s Director of Marketing, Kate Carberry. “We took the idea to the next level by incorporating performance downlights that maximize function and efficiency."

The seamless one piece white acrylic globe is a timeless silhouette that is topped with a hand-spun aluminum metal cap that can be finished in our extensive offering of Non-VOC powder coat colors or our exclusive eco-friendly alternative metal finishes. These globes are suspended with simple elegance using a 2-conductor white cord and the addition of a thin aircraft cable on the larger units. These fixtures can be ordered with the driver integral in the canopy or with a remote driver.

Thanks to the variety of sizes and finishes in addition to the lighting and driver options, these fixtures fit into almost any space where general lighting is desired from pendant fixtures. Whether suspended as standalone pieces, arrayed across an open office, or clustered in a large atrium, their presence and light distribution make them a welcome element in any space.
